Surveys

Pioneering new technology

Whether you are putting on an extreme sports event, building a film set outside, undertaking earthworks or analysing flood damage and risk, we can provide clear, accurate data whilst ensuring the safety of everyone involved.

Our experts produce high quality topographical and subterranean surveys in a wide range of environments using a wide range of technology, including bespoke adaptations to introducing the latest models.

We were early adopters of long-range LiDAR and Unscrewed Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). This inspired us to found DroneSurv, and pioneer drone technology for unscrewed land, water and aerial system surveys. Our remote surveys ensure the highest safety standards during the most challenging inspections.

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of surveys can you undertake?

How do you capture data?

From traditional methods, to cutting edge technology, we work closely with you to select the best method for your unique project requirements.

Which data processing techniques do you use?

Following data capture, our team then process the high resolution data for suitable delivery.

What do we get out of a survey?

Before we start we’ll identify the best data collection techniques for your project. This could be a combination of data collection techniques.

Drawing on our multiple ground geotechnical, geological, and UAV datasets, we produce the highest quality topographical and subterranean surveys in a wide range of environments.

Once we’ve collected your data, our expert advisors will analyse often vast quantities of data and compile their findings and recommendations to inform decision-making.

From there, we produce a straightforward report with our findings and recommendations. We don’t overcomplicate our work and get straight to the point so you can make accurate decisions that are safe for your teams and your project runs smoothly on time and to budget.

We’ve been working with LMCL for a number of years and they are our appointed Mine Surveyors under the Mining Regulations. Due to the challenging ground conditions in a historical mine with low roof height, irregular pillar sizes and irregular spans; we needed to find a way to inspect, to survey, and to record the mine workings so that a plan to go back into this area and extract the previously unworked base bed could be developed. LMCL specifically developed a remote-controlled rover that we believes allows that. We are able to inspect and scan the workings in real-time with the operator safely positioned in areas that have previously been surveyed and/or supported. Not only is this useful to us from a health and safety point of view (which is paramount) but also from a commercial view as we can gain the information we need to make further plans. LMCL are a company we have used now for a number of years and were very happy with the way the relationship has developed over that time.
