Geology mapping & mineral planning
Data-driven and safety conscious
No matter what the terrain, we’re experts in mapping above and below the ground.
Our highly qualified and experienced team produce detailed geological maps, analyse data and provide practical recommendations based on the results.
Our experts work closely with our geotechnical, surveying and hydrogeology teams, providing a holistic view of every project.
How we work
We understand your needs before we do anything. We want your project to be successful and we’ll work with you to make sure of it.
Once we understand your needs, we identify the best technology for the job whether that’s long-range high-resolution LiDAR scanners and/or our various drone mounted photogrammetric and LiDAR systems through to boots on the ground using a mark 1 eyeball.
We put together the right team for the job and collaborate with our colleagues – and other experts – to share holistic recommendations.
Due diligence and expert witness services
Our expert mapping, analysis and reporting supports commercial decision making.
With a deep understanding of geology, unrivalled data and a commitment to pioneering new approaches, we have a strong reputation for conducting PERC Standard Reserve and Resource reports, due diligence work and expert witness services.
Whether you need geological investigation, data quality review or development potential, or independent geological due diligence for land acquisition, project financing or M&A activity, our experts provide detailed analysis and recommendations, and impartial expert-witness services to represent your project fairly and accurately.
Our geology services
Field mapping and geological surveys
Support your site development and extraction planning with detailed field mapping and structural, lithological, and geomorphological interpretations.
Site investigation design and management
We inform decision-making by integrating geospatial and geological data and providing on-site geological supervision and sample logging. From design to site investigation management, including coordination of ground investigations and logging and data retrieval, analysis, and reporting, our experts work to the highest industry standards.
Domain mapping
Get greater clarity, with better informed resource evaluation and project planning, and comprehensive domain mapping.
Resource and Reserve Assessment
Support planning and investment decisions and stay compliant with clarity over reserve and resource estimation, resource modelling and classification. Our bespoke technical reports are compiled by chartered geologists and engineering geologists. They’re fully compliant with the PERC reporting code, and are suitable for planning applications, due diligence, and regulatory submissions.
Quarry and site development planning
Our chartered geologists are here to support you at every step through design, to navigating environmental and planning applications, or liaising with planning departments.
Whether you need a quarry development plan, from conceptual layout to operational phases, support for phasing, restoration, or smooth project progression, we’re here to help.
Planning support and mineral safeguarding
Keep your project on track with expert geological input into mineral planning applications, compliant mineral resource assessments, advice on Mineral Safeguarding Areas (MSAs) to prevent sterilisation of economically important mineral deposits and strategic guidance to minimise conflicts between land use and future mineral extraction.
Getting started
Whether you need geological and geotechnical information of inaccessible rock faces or soil slopes, or an expert to collaborate alongside other teams, we’d love to have a conversation.
