DroneSurv is a trading name of Land and Minerals Consulting Limited and relates specifically to their operations using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), Unmanned Arial Systems (UAS), Small Unmanned Aircraft (SUA) or Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) – all commonly known simply as Drones.
They are a well-established, award winning, professional drone company. Their CAA Registration number of 244 and their 2013 minerals industry safety award for using drones demonstrates their early adoption of commercial drone technology.
All DroneSurv’s pilots are trained, qualified and competent to operate the various aircraft that the Company owns, and the Company holds drone specific public liability insurance. The company has also operated under an extended visual line of sight (EVLOS) permission to successfully complete a challenging survey of the North Buttress of Gibraltar in 2015.
DroneSurv has considerable experience in undertaking UAS projects for a wide range of industries including Quarrying Companies, Mining Companies, Construction Companies, Media Companies, Television and Film Companies, Property and Estate Management Companies, Local Government, The Gibraltarian Government and the Ministry of Defence. They have undertaken projects throughout the UK and have also received permissions to fly in Ireland, France, Norway, Gibraltar and Bangladesh.
They purchased their first Small Unmanned Aerial System (SUAS) in March 2013 and received the requisite Air Navigation Order (ANO) 2009 permission to conduct aerial work from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in May 2013. They now hold the ANO 2016 Permission to conduct commercial operations (also known as a Permission for Commercial Operations or simply a PfCO). The CAA’s CAP 1361 list of Small Unmanned Aircraft operators holding a valid CAA permission can be downloaded via their website.
DroneSurv are also the UK’s distributor for Quantum-Systems GmbH “Trinity” and “Tron” Vertical Take-off and Landing (VTOL) Drones.
